What is The Search?
The Search is an innovative video series created by the Augustine Institute that tackles the key questions of every human heart. In seven beautifully filmed episodes, Chris Stefanick and experts from multiple fields of science, medicine, psychology, art, and religion examine our place in the larger story of existence. Whether you’re a practiced inquirer or a jaded skeptic, The Search will speak to you. You may be reassured by some parts, and challenged by others. Either way, you’ll find a lot here to think about. And when all is said and done, life’s questions demand to be answered.
What happens at The Search?
When you get online for The Search on Zoom, you'll be welcomed to the call by our team of volunteers and spend a few minutes chatting with the large group or in smaller groups. After about 10 minutes, we'll begin with the video which is usually around 30 minutes. When the video finishes you'll be sent to a small group "breakout room" to discuss the video for about half an hour, at which point your small group host will wrap up the session.
Can I bring a friend?
Of course! We'd love to have your friend join us for The Search. Please have them register so we know to place them in a group.
Can I drop in for The Search? What happens if I miss a session?
You are welcome to join The Search at any point, though the experience is certainly better if you start from the first or second session – you'll see the full picture of the videos, and you'll get to join a group from the beginning rather than part way through.
I'd like to volunteer at The Search. How can I get involved?
We'd love to have you on The Search volunteer team! The number of discussion group hosts we require depends on the number of registrants we have; please contact Krista if you are interested in volunteering. We are also so grateful for your prayers for our team and participants, so know that if you aren't able to serve at this time we appreciate you uniting with us in prayer.
I have more questions! Who can I talk to?
