The Grotto of Our Lady

A beloved place of prayer and reflection, the Grotto of Our Lady invites all who visit to pause in quiet devotion and draw closer to Christ through Mary’s intercession. Surrounded by beauty and peace, the grotto is a sacred space where parishioners and visitors alike can pray, offer intentions, and experience the gentle presence of Our Blessed Mother.

The grotto is more than stone and flowers; it is a sacred space where hearts open to heaven, where tears turn into trust, and where prayer becomes a bridge between our struggles and God’s grace. My hope is that many will be drawn to come to her - to seek her help, to find peace, and to feel her motherly presence. For Mary never keeps us for herself; she always brings us closer to her Son.

May this renewed grotto become a place of refuge and healing for all who come - a gentle reminder that, through Mary, God continues to do wonders beyond our imagining. I also hope that our neighbours - those who may not yet know Jesus - will find in this outdoor sacred space their first encounter with the holy, and perhaps, the beginning of a journey toward faith.

Prayer of a Pilgrim at the Grotto

Blessed Mother Mary,
after my journey, I stand before you in this holy place,
a pilgrim seeking peace, light, and renewal of heart.
You have walked with me on every path,
guiding my steps with a mother’s care,
and now I rest here beneath your gaze.

At this grotto, where prayers rise like incense
and the stillness speaks of God’s presence,
I offer you all that I carry -
my joys, my burdens, my hopes, and my tears.
Receive them, dear Mother,
and bring them to your Son, Jesus,
who is the way, the truth, and the life.

Help me, as I continue my journey of faith,
to walk humbly, to love generously,
and to trust completely in God’s will.
Let this pilgrimage renew my spirit
and draw me closer to the heart of your Son.

Bless all pilgrims who come to this grotto:
those who seek healing,
those who come in gratitude,
and those who come searching for meaning.
May each one leave strengthened in faith
and surrounded by your tender care.

O Mary, Star of the Journey,
guide me always toward your Son.
Keep me safe on every road until I reach
the eternal home you have prepared for all who believe.

Amen.

Prayer at the Grotto

O Blessed Mother,
in this quiet place made holy by your presence,
I come before you with a heart open to your Son.
Here, where peace surrounds and hearts are lifted in prayer,
I lay down my worries, my hopes, and my thanks.

Mother of Mercy,
wrap your gentle mantle around all who come in faith.
Comfort the weary, heal the broken hearted,
and guide the lost back to the light of your Son, Jesus.

In your presence,
teach me to listen as you listened,
to trust as you trusted,
and to love with a heart made pure by grace.

May every soul who pauses here
feel the peace that comes from heaven,
and may this grotto remain a doorway of prayer,
where heaven touches the earth.

Mary, Mother of God and our Mother,
pray for us now and always.

Amen.
