Confirmation

The parish takes very seriously its responsibility to prepare children and adults for Confirmation. Ordinarily, the sacrament is celebrated with children in Grade 7, who are prepared either in our parish school or through the Parish Religious Education Program.

Children who did not receive Baptism and First Holy Communion at the customary ages will often be prepared for Confirmation through our RCIC program.

Depending on an adult's Catholic education and level of faith experience, he or she may be confirmed at the Easter Vigil after participating in the RCIA program or be directed to a celebration of the sacrament by the Archbishop after some personal preparation.

Confirmation is particularly important prior to the celebration of the Sacrament of Marriage.

Inquiries about the Confirmation of children should be directed to the PREP Coordinator. Adults interested in receiving the sacrament should contact the parish office and meet with one of the priests.
