Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults
Every September our parish community begins a process of inquiry for those interested in learning about the Catholic faith. Participants in RCIA generally meet once a week on Tuesday nights, with gradual introduction to Sunday Mass as well. Depending on their readiness, individuals have an opportunity to become members of the Catholic Church at Easter.
What can you expect? Tuesday sessions involve dynamic presentations on the faith, time for question and discussion, introduction to prayer, and delicious snacks! Contact the office for more information at 604-922-1371, or firstname.lastname@example.org. Also, feel free to visit www.rcav.org/becoming-catholic/.
One makes no commitment by attending a session - you are most welcome to come and "Check us out"! We hope you will come and enjoy our friendly and relaxed atmosphere, and give us a chance to serve you wherever you are at.
“RCIA was very informative on Church teachings and traditions that I had poor prior knowledge about. The weekly classes and wonderful leadership provided and fun and safe environment for me to ask questions that were important to me. The course encouraged me to grow in my relationship with Jesus. The result has been a deeper and more sincere love of the Lord and others. I have been looking for a Church family for many years; through RCIA I found that family globally in the Catholic Church and here at Christ the Redeemer Parish.”
