Reminder - RCIA Invite a Friend and Change the World

Two years ago, one of our parishioners discerned a friend’s quiet interest in her faith, and mustered the courage to invite her to ‘come and see’ during our fall Evangelium sessions on Tuesday nights.  As you may be aware, these sessions are designed to allow adults to inquire and learn about our Catholic faith in a welcoming and fun atmosphere, with the option to eventually become Catholic.

As a result of this parishioner’s simple gesture, not only did her friend come, but eventually so did her friend’s three grown children, and by the grace of God all are now Catholics and your fellow parishioners!

This summer, think and pray about a person or two who might be open to learning more about the Catholic faith – a neighbour, friend, colleague, family member.  Invite them either to Alpha. designed for those who perhaps aren’t sure about a lot of things, including perhaps God’s existence, or Evangelium, for those open to possibly becoming Catholic at some point.

One simple invite truly can change the world.  And the change will start with you for, as Blessed John Paul II taught us, our “faith is strengthened when it’s given to others.”
